Introduction to single screw pump

The single screw pump (single screw pump; mono pump) belongs to the rotor type positive displacement pump. It transports liquid by means of volume change in the suction chamber and discharge chamber caused by the engagement of screw and bushing. It is a closed screw pump with internal engagement, and its main working parts are composed of a bushing (stator) with double head spiral cavity and a single head spiral screw (rotor) engaged with it in the stator cavity. When the input shaft drives the rotor to make planetary rotation around the stator center through the universal joint, the stator rotor pair will be continuously engaged to form a seal chamber, and the volume of these seal chambers will not change, making uniform axial movement, transferring the transmission medium from the suction end to the press out end through the stator rotor pair, and the medium sucked into the sealed chamber will flow through the stator without being stirred and damaged. Single screw pump has been widely used in developed countries, and Germany calls it “eccentric rotor pump”. Because of its excellent performance, its application scope in China is also expanding rapidly. It is characterized by strong adaptability to medium, stable flow, small pressure pulsation and high self-priming capacity, which can not be replaced by any other pump.
Single screw pump has the following advantages compared with piston pump centrifugal pump, vane pump and gear pump due to its structure and working characteristics:
1. It can transport medium with high solid content;
2. Uniform flow and stable pressure, especially at low speed;
3. The flow is proportional to the pump speed, so it has good variable regulation;
4. One pump for multiple purposes can transport media with different viscosities;
5. The installation position of the pump can be tilted at will;
6. Suitable for conveying sensitive articles and articles vulnerable to centrifugal force;
7. Small size, light weight, low noise, simple structure and convenient maintenance.
